Playboy 50th Anniversay disk pc-only (not really)

With three separate entries in Playboy's "Top 50 Products That Changed The World", Apple stands tall on the useful innovation front. Strangely, though, the CD that comes packaged with that issue is set up to be PC only. While it's not surprising from a general perspective, Playboy's preferences toward the Mac overall and Earthlink's position of "isp of choice" for the Mac (Earthlink is the major sponsor of the CD) might have given at least a nod to the Mac platform. I've noticed an interesting trend with Apple's recent product releases, namely the iTunes Music Store and the iPod. In the past, Apple has often created software and hardware that people don't yet know what they would do with. When I first sat down to play with a Mac back in 1984, the feature that MacPaint and MacWrite had that completely amazed me was Undo. Make a mistake? Just undo it! That single command made the programs so much more interesting because it made the program forgiving. I could play with a new tool and not worry about destroying all the work I've already done, since I could just undo it. more...
